We have been searching for a reasonably priced, effective and quiet ceiling fan to replace the old clunker in our guest room. We have a low sloped ceiling and needed a flush mount. This fan fits the bill perfectly. It is light weight, easy to install, one person can do it, has the variable light feature and actually works. The enclosed blades make it a much safer choice and the breeze is excellent. It won't replace an air conditioner but it is a significant improvement. It is virtually silent at any speed. The deflector does an excellent job of moving the air in a smaller room.All in all this was an even better purchase than we were hoping.
