I like the fan design, the 6 speeds, and different light settings, and how quiet it is when running. Also well balanced so no wobbling or related nuisance. It should be noted that the instructions for the mounting plate are written for a new installation but if you have a fan box already up, then the mounting plate fits right on no problem. Just save the old nuts for reuse. On page 4 of the instructions, it says to remove 3 screws that are not tightened. I removed all six because the other 3 caused the canopy to not be flush with the main body of the motor because they stick up too far and the holes they meet are not large enough for them to recess properly. It was easy to just take out all 6 and put them in through the canopy. Simple solution. Also, on page 5 at the point where you install the blades onto the motor, the blade holder screws are a bit larger than the holes in the blade holder end that mounts to the motor. I just forced them in and screwed them into the blade holder first. Once they were in then I mounted the blade to the motor using them. It was just weird that the screws were a little bigger than the holes. Again, not a big deal. All other aspects of the installation were pretty easy and straight forward. The wife loves the lighting selections between soft and bright white. We installed in our bedroom that has only one window so the brighter light is important to us. I saw on negative review regarding the light but all you have to do is click it a couple times to get the one you want to use. Nice to have choices IMHO. The remote is straight forward and very self explanatory to use. You will need 2 AAA batteries as it does not come with them. There is hardware for concrete ceiling as well as wood ceiling mounting if you need such. We didn't need the balancing kit because this fan is very well made. Wish it was made in the USA instead of China, but that's the way of the world these days. All in all - great fan and we love it. 5 stars.
